Bananas Bruce

    Been a while since I posted anything, and there's a reason for that. For the past few weeks, I've been drafting out a comic series to post on my DA page (and possibly taking it a little further), something I've been planning for the better part of 6 and a half years. I won't get into the big details just yet, but for now, here's a character design I made to give you guys an idea of what to expect from the series. This ... is Bananas Bruce.

    The kingpin of Congo Corporation (and yes, the Congo is literally an "urban jungle"), Bananas Bruce is regarded as one of the most feared criminals in the world, respected by man and beast alike. While his size and animalistic behavior already make him a force to be reckoned with, Bruce is more business than action. To him, it's more enjoyable to watch his enemies "fall from the tree before they can reach his canopy". HOW does he do this? Let's just say that with one phone call, Bruce can summon any monkey or ape under his authority to eliminate any threat he sees. Only when all else fails will he go full-King Kong on someone's ass.

    Despite this, Bruce is anything but invincible. Seeing how he's still a gorilla, so he can be distracted by the most mundane things (such as primitive tools) and be bribed with a stack of bananas (hence the banana cigar). He may have the authority to be where he is now, but whether he likes it or not, he's still an ape at heart ... and brain.
